WayFit powered by SportSpeed with Trainer Nathan Turner.  The program is designed to get kids fit through challenging physical activity.  General physical preparedness allows children to develop general motor skills, flexibility, strength, speed, and a healthy mental state.  WayFit will not only prepare kids for movement but also developes a strong work ethic and team work skills.  Join us!

Eligible Participants: All Athletes ages 7-12*

 

Cost:  $150 for members & $175 for non-members

 

 

All Sessions will meet Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays, 4:30-5:30PM

  • Session 1: January 10 - February 3
  • Session 2: February 7 - March 3
  • Session 3: March 7 - March 31 - *does not meet week of spring break
  • Session 4: April 4 - 28
  • Session 5: May 2 - 26

Training sessions will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at Kocurek Field.  Athletes are encouraged to attend at least two training sessions per week for optimal benefit, three if possible.

 

Kocurek Field, 1200 W. Cesar Chavez, across from Stephen F. Austin High School.

Athletes should wear tennis shoes or cleats, athletic wear appropriate for weather conditions, and bring a water bottle or sports drink with them.

Normal WAYA Rain-out policies apply.  Please contact the WAYA front desk (473-2528) at 3pm for field status on rainy days.

In addition to training for strength, endurance, power and agility, we will provide tips on flexibility, pre-competition nutrition, hydration, and recovery from games and practices.
